Strategic Ministry Planning

A strategic ministry plan is more than creating an annual church budget. A strategic ministry plan is actionable, measurable and seeks to bring clarity to God’s long-range direction for your local church. Intentional strategic ministry planning is perhaps one of the best gifts that church leadership can give their congregation. It helps people know where the church is going, why it is going there, and how you’re going to get there. It yields confidence and trust from both the congregation and church staff. It is level-headed and makes sense in light of all that God has already done in and through your church as well as how your church will intentionally follow God’s leading into the future. It is for these reasons and more that we encourage church leadership teams to set aside three days for a custom Strategic Planning Retreat to be facilitated by Jim Capaldo, the Converge Heartland, District Executive Minister. This is an extremely worthwhile endeavor for your church’s health and future! Should you need it, we are also able to assist you with the logistical planning of your church’s Strategic Planning Retreat.

Converge Heartland utilizes a proven and uniquely customized approach to local church strategic planning through a process called StratOp. The StratOp strategic planning process

1. Gives you perspective on all of the strategic, financial and operational parts of your church.

2. Helps you know where you stand.

3. Clarifies where you should go.

4. Gives you a customized plan on how to get there.

Converge Heartland looks forward to facilitating your church in developing a strategic plan that you will actually implement and celebrate! Don’t hesitate, discuss this with your church leaders and give us a call. We look forward to your church’s increased strength and growth!
