New Church Planters in the Heartland

We’re excited to introduce three new church planters joining our Heartland District, each bringing a heart for the gospel and a passion to serve their communities.

Get to know your newest Heartland leadership:

Aron and Jenn Utecht

The Utechts are beginning a new church work in Rapid City, South Dakota. We look forward to seeing how God will use their obedience and vision to reach their community.

Mark and Katie Cress

The Cresses are planting Harbor Church in Wichita, Kansas.

In true obedience and faithful stewardship, their journey began with eight people fasting and praying, gathering daily to seek God’s direction for the church and its leadership. A core team formed, meeting weekly at a local coffee shop, and within just six weeks, they had outgrown the space and were ready to launch their church.

Mike and Cindy Brill

The Brills are planting New Hope Community Church in Aurora, Nebraska.

While this is a new church, Mike and Cindy are not new to the Heartland. Coming out of retirement, they continue to live faithfully for Jesus and boldly share the good news of the gospel. New Hope Community Church held its first service in November 2025 and continues to grow steadily. Find them on Facebook here.
