There are some changes in our camping program this year… and more to come!  Don’t worry, they are changes for the good, which should make it affordable and convenient for more students to attend camp.

June 6-11 Middle School Camp will meet at Timber Lake Ranch Camp near Marquette, NE. They have a WONDERFUL facility with “Fort Timberlake”, Treetopper Camp, and “Railroad Town”. There is a gymnasium and a chapel that will seat 350.They have horses, paintball fields, a high ropes course, and waterfront activities including “the Blob” and a waterslide. There is sand volleyball, swimming, disc golf, canoes and boats …need I go on? It is a 700 acre facility with a beautiful natural setting of cedar forests, fishing ponds and the Platte River. High School Camp will remain at Camp Judson, Keystone, SD this year, and will be held June 20-26.

Junior Camp at Swan Lake Camp, Viborg, SD will be split into three groups:

3rd grade will be held June 16-18

5th grade will be held June 20-25

4th grade will be held June 27-30

The program will be staffed mainly by Swan Lake Camp, and we will be using their programming. Their materials have been reviewed and approved with people saying “What Swan Lake provides is as good or better than anything we have come up with in years past” Their website is: www.myslcc.com

It became virtually impossible to find people willing to volunteer as staff for the District. Therefore we are switching to this format to enable us to continue having a camp for these ages.
