Women’s Mission Trip
February 18-27, 2012

The past two years I have taken teams to the Dominican Republic with ImpactLives and the experience has transformed each team member, moving them towards living missionally everyday.

It has truly transformed the lives of women in my teams and drawn them into leadership. It is my hope that we can have a team of women experience the training in the field and bring back what they learn to their women’s ministries. In my church I have facilitated Bible studies for years. This year I used the training in my Tuesday night group and now we have 6 or more women taking turn facilitating the group. Two of the women from the last trip took on the task of leading VBS even though it was new to them. Doesn’t that excite you?

ImpactLives is a non-profit organization that combines leadership training, education and service learning with humanitarian works. What that means is my teams are trained by ImpactLives for transformation leadership that leads to social innovation (here and abroad).

The cost of the trip will be $1,500 plus airfare (past two years it has been around $850) and that includes your housing, meals, training, traveling to and from worksites. We will build, paint, lead and learn. I will have dates shortly and a brochure will be coming out to give you more information. I would love to come and speak to your women about this opportunity.

It's amazing how God leads us to places where our passion for His people is ignited, where we converge in ministry and lives are transformed...including our own.· Susan and Jennifer can attest to this....they went to Bangkok, Thailand reaching out to those caught in human trafficking.· Watch for registration materials after the first of the year.

Would any of you be interested in a missions trip?· I think it would be great to be able to take a team of women from all across the district and go through the Impact Lives training.· I'll be working with Ramon on some of these ideas while we are in the Dominican Republic.· There are grade schools in Minnesota that pack the food but they don't provide for the shipping or delivery and we could provide that part.· If you are interested in something like this email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. I've been through the training with Impact Lives twice and am amazed at how this training helps a team be a team.· We take a dozen or more relatively unrelated people, give them a mission and it's exciting to see them all work in their strengths to accomplish it.· In addition to the main mission, they are watching for God at work around them and formulating plans for how to move in those directions.· I think every team that works together could benefit from this training.· If you'd like to have your leadership team go through the training, give me a call or email me.
