In 2009 Northridge Baptist Church in Mitchell SD packed 330,068 meals with the help of Bethel Baptist Church in Brookings SD and Central Baptist Church in Sioux Falls SD.  The food was delivered that October to Haitian refugees in the Dominican Republic.

And that was just the beginning. In 2010 Bethel Baptist led a pack of their own in Brookings SD involving the whole community and packed a container - 285,000 meals.

These meals were delivered to handicapped children in Haiti.  Especially important because they were delivered after the earthquake to those desperately in need.

Northridge led their second pack on May 8th, 2010 at the Corn Palace and packed another 330,000 meals. These meals were personally delivered over Thanksgiving  last year by a team consisting of people from Northridge and Pastor Pat Moore from St. Paul, NE.

On May 7th, 2011 Northridge is planning to lead a pack of 340,000 meals which will make ONE MILLION meals from the Corn Palace in Mitchell!  If you would like to be involved in this pack, contact Deb at 605-999-8994.  It's a great opportunity to experience it for yourself and see if it's something your community would like to do.

If you would like to help us cover the cost of materials and shipping, please make your checks payable to IMPACT LIVES (it’s a 501(c)(3)  non profit humanitarian organization and your donation is tax deductible)...you can send your check to:

Every 2 hours the entire packing floor was replaced with new volunteers.  Almost 1200 volunteers from all around Mitchell packed meals for 10 hours.

A team delivered the meals from the first pack in October and another team  delivered last year over Thanksgiving. And this year... is yet to happen!
